Visiting Our Cosmetic Dentistry Office Will Improve Your Smile for Summer
Cosmetic dentistry can help make your summer even more memorable. We know that summer is one of the most fun times of the year. People across the nation are going to be ridding themselves of the winter garb, exchanging heavy overcoats for swimsuits and boots for flip-flops. Families will be getting together, companies will be having picnics, and every weekend will see neighborhood barbecues or pool parties. Over 80% of all Americans will pack up their gear and head out on vacation during this time of year, so to state that summer is America's fun season is certainly not an overstatement. With the fun comes an abundance of smiles and family photos. For millions of people, this season also brings a reminder that they do not have perfect teeth, or that they are simply not happy with the smile that they have. Cosmetic dentistry can change all of that for you in a few short visits. You do not have to make do with crooked or misaligned teeth, or hide your smile because of discoloration. Instead, we can set you up to have the brightest, straightest, and most brilliant smile in the room. Make a cosmetic dentistry trip part of your summer this year to enjoy a beautiful smile for years to come.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is integral to cosmetic dentistry. It is a process that many people are familiar with. Teeth whitening is certainly the fastest way to improve your smile. Pearly white teeth make an outstanding impression, and help boost confidence. If you are looking at a quick upgrade for your smile this summer, you may want to consider this cosmetic dentistry solution. Typically we can do this procedure in the clinic in a single visit, or give you a kit to take home.
This procedure is essentially making the teeth more translucent. All light is white. It is the brain that takes this white light and sees it as a color based on the way that the light is reflected off of the object. In the case of pure white, the more translucent the object, the whiter it will appear. In teeth, stains or discoloration occur which bend the light to a frequency that your brain sees as “not white”. In cosmetic dentistry, we use a peroxide-based solution to correct this. The peroxide releases free radicals in the tooth which cause a tiny chemical change in the makeup of the tooth itself, and this makes the tooth more translucent or whiter.
Dental Veneers
Sometimes teeth do not respond to traditional teeth whitening. In which case we have a second option. Dental veneers can be used to make your teeth whiter, permanently. They are also used to correct malocclusion and unsightly gaps between your teeth. Using an incredibly thin piece of porcelain, our cosmetic dentistry team will adhere these to your teeth, replacing worn out, damaged, or stained enamel and giving you the perfect summer smile in the process.
